Wedding planning can be stressful if you don’t get organized and detailed. To keep track on your progress, you need a wedding plan checklist. The following timetable is a good guide to start with.

9 months before the wedding:
o Announce the engagement.
o Pick out a specific date and time for the wedding.
o Set a budget. Determine if both parties will share the costs.
o Decide if a professional wedding consultant should be hired.
o Choose the wedding venue and make reservations.
o Choose the reception venue and make reservations.
o List down guests to be invited.
o Select the bridesmaids and groomsmen.
o Select the flower girl and ring bearer.
o Decide on the wedding theme.
o Select and reserve the one who will officiate the ceremony.
o Choose and order the wedding gown.
o Set the date for bridal showers, parties, and other celebrations.
o Start keeping a record for payments made.

6 months before the wedding:
o Select the attire for attendants.
o Schedule fittings for the celebrants and attendants.
o Coordinate with the caterer.
o Choose and book wedding florist.
o Choose and book photographer.
o Choose and book entertainer/ band.

4 months before the wedding:
o Finalize guest list.
o Reserve rental items needed for ceremony and reception.
o Shop for wedding gifts to each other.
o Order wedding invitations, wedding programs, seating cards and thank you notes.
o Schedule the rehearsal dinner.
o Buy shoes and other accessories.
o Arrange gift registry.
o Plan and make reservations for the honeymoon.

2 months before the wedding:
o Send out invitations.
o Order the wedding cake.
o Order flowers.
o Order decorations.
o Choose and buy wedding bands/ rings.
o Reserve transportation for the wedding day.
o Ensure marriage license requirements are complete.

6 weeks before the wedding:
o Wedding day accessories should be complete.
o Decide on hairstyle and make-up. Choose hair stylist and make-up artist.
o Make a schedule for hair, make-up, and nails preparation the day before the wedding.

1 week before the wedding:
o Make sure wedding attire fits well.
o Get the final guest count and inform the caterer.
o Check with the wedding coordinator if everything is in place.
o Confirm all reservations and accommodations.
o Pack everything you will need after the wedding.

Rehearsal day:
o Announce the detailed schedule of events that will happen on your wedding day.
o Designate a person to bring all wedding accessories needed during the ceremony and reception.
o Designate a person who will return rental items after the wedding.

The BIG Day:
