Short and sweet is the statement for which is rightfully suited in the typical overly romantic stints that hit Hollywood couples. So sweet yet short lived.

Having spent generously on a romantic private wedding in Bora Bora and only two weeks in their Marriage, Actor Eddie Murphy and his wife Film Producer Tracey Edmonds called it quits.

The Couple tied the knot last January 1 in a private island in Bora Bora, and US law had it said that the couple must a have a ceremony in US soil to make their marriage legal.

However the couple did not mention explicit reasons why they chose to remain friends the following statements had been said by the party’s concerned:

“After much consideration and discussion, we have jointly decided that we will forego having a legal ceremony as it is not necessary to define our relationship further.”

“While the recent symbolic union in Bora Bora was representative of our deep love, friendship and respect that we have for one another on a spiritual level, we have decided to remain friends.”

Situations like these are of no surprise in such industry and it seems to have lesser and lesser impact in the community. Out of respect of whatever reason Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds had between them that caused such decision will be left as between them. However, may it be them are another couple; it makes one wonder, what perception people in the community has left for the sanctity of marriage.
