After love, money makes the world go round. A cliché but there’s a sense of reality in it. And of course it is one of the first things to consider before even thinking of a wedding. The expenses. In traditional families especially in Asia, it is the groom and its family that shoulders the major expenses in weddings but its too ancient nowadays especially in modern countries and those who have adopted the western cultures. The expenses are now being shared by the couple and other donors and sponsors.
It is not actually necessary anymore to let the groom shoulder all the expenses. But it is also not necessary to have it 50-50 between the bride and groom. Before even having a certain budget, know first those people who can also financially support in the wedding. Especially if both of the couple is from a well-off family, many will be willing to share a piece for the wedding. Of course, the big amount should still come from the couple. The wedding is not an instant. Both couple of course has saved up even before thinking of settling down. The parents are also willing to share something and even perhaps sell some property just to have an extravagant wedding. To loan for a wedding is not necessary. Do not plan for what you cannot afford.
