Newlywed CoupleI have never heard a heart-overwhelming, soul-inspiring marriage vow. Unless it is in the movies, where I really begin to cry and wishful thinking floods out.
Sometimes, it is just one of the most taken for granted part of the wedding especially if the couples are the ones personally planning and handling the wedding. I believe that a marriage vow should be taken seriously. Not just the “for richer and for poorer…” vow but your own personal vow that you would like to express to your partner with a witness in the altar, in case you are a Christian.
It takes time to think about it. Not just one night. It even takes days. It should not be taken for granted for it is a vow, a promise that you will carry out as you start your new life as partners. There’s no more turning back.
Wedding RingsIf it’s really love that is ruling over you and your partner, then there is no problem in making your marriage vows. It naturally comes out as you cherish the reasons why you want to marry your partner. Love is one of the best emotions a person can have and being loved is the best feeling in the world. It makes you do crazy things, and why not a marriage vow? Just don’t pour out blank promises which you yourself don’t believe in. Other people can actually feel it when couples are really in love. Even the words they speak are poetic already. Just let it flow.
