It is not with what the eyes can see, but what the heart can conquer and feel. This is quite evident when the beauty of a lie graced St. Paul’s Cathedral in 1981. It was witnessed by three thousand five hundred people. It was a royal version of a “kingdom so pretty” and six thousand people filled the streets to take a glimpse of the decoration that were of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer.
The two tried to live up to the life of that of a fairytale come true. When thousands of people perch the streets, they cling into a fantasy of a royal wedding that is found in happy endings of fairytale stories. Both Prince Charles and Princess Diana tried to live up to this fantasy, but the truth has its way of speaking, and when it does, it cuts right through the heart. It was a lie, an expensive lie for that matter.
No judgment is handed to the characters that fill this article, but this is shared with the mere thought that LIFE IS TO SHORT TO BE FOOLED BY OTHERS AND ESPECIALLY BY YOUR SELF. In the end, it all boils down to seeking for what the heart fonder upon. It fonder and it longs, it seeks and it will yearn. It may be hidden for some time but someday it’ll burst out. There’s no stopping it, and most often than not, the choice of the heart is not dictated by your own flesh, even how hard you try to.
A victim of it’s time like being sold as a cattle to the millions of people as subject for the public eye. It was a box office hit. It sold for sometime, but like a ticket to a movie, a movie has its end and after the roles have played, you go out of the movie house and go to the realities of life.
This is the gist of A NOT SO FAIRY TALE STORY of this royal couple, but the substance is grasped upon the whole process of the story itself. May the reader of this article learn the lesson of how a decision of whom to marry can change and affect a lot of lives and mere essence of why marriages should be treated with sanctity that even royalty cannot get away from the consequence of making a mistake in this aspect….marriage.
Feasted in a Wedding
The program was broadcasted all over the world catering to 750 million people who watched the fairytale wedding of Prince Charles and Diana Spencer making it the most popular television program of all times.
As Britons found the enjoyment of a national holiday in this event to mark the occasion, do they know what lies amidst the façade Prince Charles and Diana Spencer appear to be? Britons were in celebration with the rest of the world but zooming in Prince Charles, he can’t celebrate much in the same way. He was thinking of someone else, but he tried to linger on the thought that this was an obligation bestowed upon him.
In the Wedding He Looks Back
They met in the POLO match back in 1971. He met this lady who made a note that was remarkable to him. She said, “My great-grandmother and your great-great-grandfather were lovers, so how about it?” This woman was Camilla Shand. There was a cemented structure that built between a relationship that grew within a sense of humor and thirst for blood sport. This was made of Charles and Camilla or Fred and Gladys as they fondly call each other. He wanted to marry her but the queen was not as happy about the idea as Camilla was said to have “come around”. Charles in failure to propose as he joined the royal navy and comes back to find out that Camilla has married another.
Back to Reality
In venture to move on, they both say their I do’s, they waved to the crowd and stood at the balcony to show to millions of people the deception of an embrace. Was the happiness of royalty and the people enough to have filled that void?
A Mistake’s Sweet Purpose
They grew in the public eye hoping that the drench of a smile can hide the problem inflicted inevitably in the marriage. They tried and they tried, but it showed. Looking back at one interview you would see the gesture. They were being asked about each other’s feelings and as the reporter asks, “Can you say that this is true love?” They look at each other in hesitance keeping a smile on their faces, Charles answers to lie underneath his wit saying, “Yes, whatever love means”.
Prince William was born in July 29, 1981 and after two years Princess Diana gave birth to Prince Harry in 1984. Looking at the whole perspective, these children were their mistake’s sweet purpose in life.
The Truth Surfaces
The hidden troubles of the marriage cannot be hidden any longer. Charles during the marriage still remained close to his Camilla, and Princess Diana had not been ignorant of this matter as she said in an interview that their marriage was consumed by 3 persons. In 1985 the first report of their difficulty in a royal marriage came out for the public to know and that in 1992, the “Camillagate” tape had revealed Prince Charles and Camilla’s ongoing relationship.
In 1992 Prince Charles and Prince Diana officially separates.
Unrequited Love
Princess Diana suffered a couple of years to a setting of an unrequited love affair brought about in this royal marriage with Prince Charles. She became severely depressed that there were rumors of her trying to commit suicide and having a sickness of having eating disorder.
In Hunger for Love she Gave
We can never describe the helpless feeling that Princess Diana felt during those moment of unrequited love, but was truly is found amazing is that when she didn’t feel the love a wife should have felt. In the walls of deprivation, she manages to give what she was not given. She went far and wide to extend her hand, her arms and her love for the whole wide world to see, she is true, and you’ll see the sincerity. She is who she is, as she ruled the hearts of people across the globe.
She became the sweetheart of the public eye that everyone loved her. She became so in demand that the Paparazzi just had to take a piece of the action. The Paparazzi lenses loved her as well, as she was the most photographed woman in the world.
Princess Diana the Queen of Hearts and the Secret King that ruled hers (her heart)
In search for love she had found, but not what the eyes again would have expected to see. She felt the love that she forever longed, but not what the world saw of her and Dodi Fayed has publicly claimed to be.
The tragic happened in the most romantic place on earth, Paris. The irony of what the photos that brought her to fame has brought her to her death. A car crash in a tunnel due to 9 paparazzi photographers in motorbikes and cars had gone to chase as the car speeds its way to be crushed against a pillar. Dodi died an instant death, Princess Diana severely wounded was brought to the hospital that midnight but died at 4a.m.
She did not die in the arms of the one she loves nor in the presence of him but at least she love and knew what it was like.
She fell in love with a man not of royalty. His name is Hasnat Khan and went on their secret love affair for two years before she died. But at the very least, she knew how it is to love and be loved.
Charles and Camilla Marries
After a long time of waiting and hiding, Prince Charles marries that love of his love, Camilla Shands. It was not as extravagant as that of what Prince Charles and Princess Diana had, but the essence was their and it is found true. It was a better choice to be together than never as they try to make up for the mistake of the past.
Prince William and Prince Harry respect the occasion and accepts the happiness that Camilla brings to their father.
And so it Be
Two children lost their mother. The princess seek for love and has found but the man did not fight for theirs. Charles learned and so he did, he married the love of his life. And even if the Princess never married hers, she had the whole world love at heart.
And so it was found that their fairytale story was not made up of a couple that started in them, but to each their own and in their own reality did they dealt upon what was so long called for or long overdue…. true love.
