On her wedding day, the bride is the star of her own show. Everyone’s eyes will be upon her as she walks down the aisle, whether alone or on her father’s arm. Radiant and glowing with the flush of happiness and anticipation of a blissful life ahead, a woman is said to be most beautiful on her wedding day.

A bride is always beautiful on her wedding day. Beauty, however, is not always something a woman wakes up with. A bride may have natural good looks, but it helps nonetheless to enhance the assets that she has on the day she needs to look her best. The wedding day is not a day to have pimples, bad hair day, raccoon eyes or dull skin.

In order to appear as Venus incarnate on her wedding day, a bride should take the time to prepare herself to look beautiful months before her wedding day. Yes, the preparation takes at least six months.

The first step that a bride needs to take so she would look fair and radiant on her wedding day is to review her health and beauty regimen. Six months before the wedding day, a bride should start adopting healthy eating habits and an exercise routine so she would look shapely on the big day. Eating healthily and exercising regularly also does wonders for the skin; healthy eating and regular exercise improves blood circulation and skin tone as well as helps flush out waste and toxins more easily.

If the bride feels like she has bad skin, six months before the wedding day is also the time she should go and consult a professional dermatologist about her skin problem. She should also take to a daily beauty routine of cleansing, toning and moisturizing her skin, as well as exfoliating once a week. This will make her skin soft, clear and glowing. Drinking eight to ten glasses of water a day without fail helps tremendously too.

{mosimage} Her hair is also something a bride should not neglect in preparing herself for the big day. She should start consulting her hairstylist about the cut and color of her hair on her wedding day and start trying different styles out. Never should she do this a day before or a week before her wedding day because if she ended up ruining her hair, she may not have the time to make reparations before the actual day. What bride wants to have a bad hair day on her wedding?

Wedding parties always have dinner rehearsals. Brides should have makeup rehearsals too. Brides should experiment with makeup months before the wedding to see which product and what makeup style works for them. It should never be done a day or a week before the actual wedding or else nothing can be done if the bride turns out allergic on a certain product.

On the big day itself, the bride should wear waterproof eye makeup and mascara so that she would not have them running down her cheeks when she sheds tears on her wedding. Long-lasting, no-smudge lipstick is also a must for those congratulatory kisses. The bride should also appoint one of her bridesmaids or her mother to check on her always on the day itself to alert her if her nose is shiny or her makeup needs a touchup. Lastly, having one of the bridesmaids take an emergency kit with her containing face powder, oil-blotting paper, a sewing kit, a hairbrush and clear nail polish for stocking runs will also go a long, long way.

Above all, the secret to a bride’s ravishing beauty on her wedding day is a mind free of worries. No matter what happens on her wedding day itself, it is all going to be just fine. What is important is that she will remain happy for the rest of her marriage.
